The DETEC Discriminator Metal Detector was developed for applications where
discrimination between magnetic and non -magnetic metals are required, i.e.
Tramp metal in Iron Ore (Magnetite). This system is particularly suitable for
installation in iron ore mining and can operate in conjunction with an electro
magnet with an output for indicating that non magnetic metal has been detected.
Can also be fitted with a magnet activation circuit to turn on the downstream electro magnet.
