The hand-held Detec MD-02 has been designed primarily for the purpose of body scanning to detect concealed metal objects - in particular offensive weapons or pilfered articles.

Typically the unit is used in conjunction with a walkthrough metal detector, such as at nightclubs etc.

With the Detec MD-02 the search can be conducted without physical contact with the person being scanned.
The detector is switched on by a single press-button. When metal is detected, the unit gives an audible and visual alarm. Low battery condition is indicated by a continous alarm when switched on.
