INTRODUCTION

Transmission Supply and Service Company Pty Ltd (TSS), ABN No. 87 004 997 979, is the leading Australian designer, manufacturer and distributor of quality industrial & security metal detection and drum motor products servicing markets throughout the world. Established in 1968 by the late Mr Geoff Fleming. Mr Fleming's son Alan Fleming is the current Chief Exective Officer.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to be unique in the provision of in-house, cost-effective and technological innovation in metal detection and associated drum motor and conveyor products for the global security, mining and process industries, supported by networks of highly professional and expansive channel partners.

HISTORY

Initially the company was primarily engaged in the design, manufacture and supply of material handling belt conveyor systems and ancillary equipment.

Having achieved a reputation in the design and supply of materials handling equipment in mining, quarrying and other extractive industries, TSS expanded its business with the introduction in 1971 of the revolutionary motorised drum the power source for driving belt conveyors. Subsequently the design of conveyor systems added another diversification to the business profile.

In 1974 following a research study the company's industrial metal detector `DETEC' was launched as a device to protect machinery generally fed by a belt conveyor from damage caused from the presence of tramp metal.

In later years following further development, the company's security range of Walkthrough and Hand Held Metal Detectors were launched.

Today, TSS is also the Australian and SE Asian regional sales and service distributor for FISCAN Security X-Ray Baggage Inspection Systems.

More recently new digital technology in food & process industry metal detectors was added to the company's product profile, and the latest release of our security detectors, DetecGLOBAL-SZ/MZ [single and multi zone] walkthrough metal detectors was produced to include CE Certification.
